Year 8 Explore University Life at NTU!

On a bright and exciting day, our Year 8 students had the opportunity to step into the world of higher education with a visit to Nottingham Trent University’s City Campus. Pupils were guided by NTU Student Ambassadors through a day packed with discovery, creativity, and inspiration.

The visit kicked off with a warm welcome and a health and safety briefing, followed by a campus tour that gave students a glimpse into university life. After lunch, the students got creative by designing posters to reflect what they had learned, and proudly presented their ideas to the group. The day wrapped up with a lively Q&A session with NTU students, leaving our Year 8s buzzing with excitement about their future possibilities.

A big thank you to the NTU team and our dedicated school staff for making this enriching experience possible!

ACE Week: Adventure, Careers, and Education!

This year’s ACE Week was a whirlwind of excitement, learning, and friendly competition! Students across all year groups took part in unforgettable trips—Year 10 explored the vibrant streets of London, Year 9 reflected on history at the Holocaust Centre, Year 8 enjoyed the great outdoors at Carsington Waters, and Year 7 stepped back in time at Warwick Castle.

Back at the Academy, students engaged in thought-provoking sessions on careers education with a focus on green and sustainable futures, as well as important lessons in RSE, Equality, and Diversity. The week wrapped up with a high-energy Interhouse Competition, where teamwork and school spirit were on full display.

ACE Week truly lived up to its name—an inspiring blend of Adventure, Careers, and Education!
