“These are the best results in recent years and demonstrate a significant improvement across all key indicators.” Anna Martin, Principal.
There was an atmosphere of excitement at Magnus Church of England Academy today as staff welcomed GCSE students collecting their exam results.
Anna Martin, Principal of Magnus C of E Academy said, “Our students worked incredibly hard to achieve some excellent results. These are the best results in recent years and demonstrate a significant improvement across all key indicators.
“Our students and their teachers should be very proud of all they have achieved, not only academically but as all round brilliant human beings. They have lived out our Magnus values not only in school, but across the wider community, and these results are a testament to their character and determination to succeed. We are also delighted that so many have chosen to stay with us to study at sixth form and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow and develop over the next 2 years.”
Magnus C of E Academy said that overall results have been the best in recent years with the numbers of students achieving grade 4+ in English and Maths increasing by 11%, and with 96% of all students achieving 5 or more GCSE grades, including those who attended the academy’s alternative provision. Several subjects at Magnus are expected to outperform the national average.

I got a Distinction* (star) in Child Development which I’m so pleased with as I am going to study Child Development, Health and Social Care and English at Magnus Sixth Form.
