Your child may be invited to go on school day trips and residential trips to support their learning in relation to a particular subject and to give them a more in depth understanding of what they are studying. This may be a few hours at a local site such as Newark Castle, a whole day in London for an awards ceremony or relevant sporting experience or a weekend away at an outdoor pursuits centre.
All trips are planned with the child’s learning, enjoyment and safety in mind and letters will be sent out to parents well in advance of any trips to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate. The staff member responsible for the trip will include contact details on the letter so parents can ask any questions direct to the teacher involved and parents can be assured that all staff members present on the trip will be fully DBS checked and have passed all health and safety requirements to accompany the children.
We usually request a small financial contribution towards the trip to enable it to go ahead and currently only accept cash or cheques as payment.
