The Government have published new information regarding how GCSEs, AS and A Levels will be awarded in Summer 2020. Below you will find a letter to students from Ofqual with a breakdown of how your qualifications will be awarded. There is also a link to gov.uk website where there is more information and guidance regarding qualifications.

Sports Guest of the Year – Josh Burkitt

Congratulations to Josh Burkitt for being announced as Radio Newark’s Sports Guest of the Year for 2019! Josh has spoken live on the radio about sport and mental health, and has also been involved in episodes of their podcast.

We’d just like to say a big thank you to Josh for being such a great ambassador for the school and the young people in our community!

He will be back talking on Radio Newark on Wednesday 15th January.

Sixth Formers’ party for Bowbridge Residents

Our brilliant Sixth Formers hosted a Christmas party for the residents of Bowbridge Court Care Home, Newark, tucked into afternoon tea and cake and enjoyed the Magnus Swing Band’s festive pieces of music.The event was the idea of Nicole McGrady, 18, and Emily Braithwaite, 17, who asked others to help them out.They held a cake sale prior to the event to raise money towards it.A care assistant at the home, Rebecca Jex, said: “The residents have enjoyed their afternoon tea and entertainment.”Bowbridge Court resident Edith Dickens said: “It has been very enjoyable.”
