Graduate Intern – Temporary, One Year Contract

37 hours per week, Term Time Only Grade 2 9-13 Pro rata Salary £14109.64 – £14645.23

Our graduate intern roles are aimed at recent graduates who have the aspiration to become teachers.  The role provides a range of rewarding experiences including; assisting students who require additional support due to their SEN or behavioural needs, covering lessons and contributing to the extra-curricular programme the academy provides. Each graduate intern will be supported through a mentor programme and be attached to a teaching faculty. The post holder will also challenge and support students, help with organisational and study skills and provide homework and revision sessions.

The majority of graduate interns at Magnus have successfully completed training to become excellent teachers and have remained with the academy.  Apply for this position if you’d like to be the next one.

Start date: various dates within the school year
Salary: £8.19 per hour

This is an opportunity to work as part of a team of invigilators at various dates throughout the school year, in particular around the exam periods in May and June.

Previous invigilator experience would be desirable, but not essential as training will be given. All candidates should have a good level of English literacy.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing the exam room as required by the examination board
  • Ensuring there is enough equipment and/or equipment as necessary e.g. calculators
  • Ensuring that the pupils adhere to the exam rules, i.e. no talking
  • Assisting with any issues that arise during the examination
  • Assisting with any persons needing to leave the examination hall
  • Reading and scribing to pupils when needed.
